Slow Cooker Cheesy Bacon Ranch Chicken Casserole:

Posted on January 1, 2026 by Admin

Oh yes! A Slow Cooker Cheesy Bacon Ranch Chicken Casserole is one of those super-easy, comforting meals that practically cooks itself. Here’s a full, foolproof recipe:

Slow Cooker Cheesy Bacon Ranch Chicken Casserole

Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1 packet (1 oz / 28 g) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)
  • 6–8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped green onions or parsley for garnish
  • Optional: cooked pasta, rice, or potatoes for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken
    • Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
    • Place chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Mix the sauce
    • In a bowl, combine ranch seasoning, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
    • Mix until smooth.
  3. Assemble the casserole
    • Pour the sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker.
    • Sprinkle crumbled bacon evenly on top.
  4. Cook
    • Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours, until chicken is fully cooked (internal temp 165°F / 74°C) and tender.
  5. Add extra cheese (optional)
    • 15–20 minutes before serving, sprinkle additional cheddar cheese on top and cover until melted.
  6. Serve
    • Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley if desired.
    • Serve over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes for a hearty meal.

Tips

  • Make it even faster: Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces before adding to the slow cooker.
  • Make it creamy: Add a splash of milk or cream if you like a saucier casserole.
  • Extra veggies: Toss in broccoli florets, peas, or carrots for color and nutrition.

If you want, I can also give a one-pot, oven-baked version that’s cheesy, bacon-y, and doesn’t require a slow cooker—perfect for weeknights when you don’t want to wait all day.

Do you want me to make that version too?
