Here’s a delicious recipe for Shrimp and Cod in Creamy Garlic Sauce — tender seafood in a rich, garlicky, and slightly buttery cream sauce. Perfect served over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread.


🍤🐟 Shrimp and Cod in Creamy Garlic Sauce

Ingredients (serves 4):

Seafood:

  • 1 lb cod fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4–5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken or seafood broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 1–2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions:

1. Prepare the seafood

  • Pat cod and shrimp dry with paper towels.
  • Season lightly with salt, pepper, and paprika.

2. Cook the cod

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp butter over medium heat.
  • Sear cod pieces 2–3 minutes per side until opaque and lightly golden.
  • Remove and set aside.

3. Cook the shrimp

  • In the same skillet, add a little more butter if needed.
  • Sauté shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
  • Remove and set aside with the cod.

4. Make the creamy garlic sauce

  • Add remaining butter to the skillet.
  • Sauté onion until soft, then garlic for 30–60 seconds.
  • Pour in broth and cream, stir, and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Add Parmesan cheese and stir until smooth.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.

5. Combine seafood and sauce

  • Return cod and shrimp to the skillet.
  • Gently coat in the sauce and simmer 2–3 minutes until everything is heated through.
  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Serving suggestions:

  • Over cooked pasta or rice
  • With garlic bread for dipping
  • With steamed vegetables or a side salad
