Pulled out some stale bread from pantry.

Got it! Stale bread isn’t a loss—you can turn it into something tasty or useful. Here are some options:

  1. Make breadcrumbs – Toast it and crush it for coating, stuffing, or topping dishes.
  2. Croutons – Cube, toss with oil and seasoning, bake until crispy for salads or soups.
  3. French toast or bread pudding – Stale bread soaks up custard or milk better than fresh bread.
  4. Panzanella salad – Toss cubes of stale bread with tomatoes, cucumbers, and vinaigrette.
  5. Thicken soups or stews – Tear and stir into soups like ribollita for extra texture.

Bonus: To refresh stale bread, sprinkle a little water on it and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5–10 minutes—it comes out almost like new.
