Mix everything together and bake

Posted on November 30, 2025 by Admin

Ah, so you’re switching from no-bake bars to a baked version! That works too—it will give a slightly firmer, chewier texture with a more “cookie-bar” feel. Here’s how to adjust your no-bake chocolate oat bars for baking:

Baked Chocolate Oat Bars

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or cashew)
  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: chocolate chips, chopped nuts, shredded coconut

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix wet ingredients – Combine nut butter, honey, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Add dry ingredients – Stir in oats, cocoa powder, salt, and optional mix-ins until fully combined.
  4. Prepare pan – Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and press mixture evenly into the pan.
  5. Bake – 12–15 minutes, or until edges are slightly firm.
  6. Cool and slice – Let cool completely in the pan, then lift out and cut into bars.

💡 Tips for best results:

  • Don’t overbake—baked bars should be soft and chewy, not hard.
  • Press mixture firmly into the pan to prevent crumbling after baking.
  • Add a drizzle of melted chocolate on top once cooled for a nice finish.

If you want, I can also give a chewy and fudgy version that stays soft even after baking. Want me to do that?
