Oh wow 😍—a garlic butter lobster and scallops meal is straight-up restaurant-level seafood heaven. Here’s a full recipe you can make at home that’s rich, flavorful, and not too complicated.

Garlic Butter Lobster and Scallops

Ingredients (serves 2–3)

Seafood:

  • 2 lobster tails (8–10 oz each), split in half
  • 8–10 large sea scallops, patted dry

Garlic butter sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Sides (optional):

  • Steamed asparagus or green beans
  • Rice, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare lobster tails

  1. Using kitchen scissors, cut the shell lengthwise down the middle.
  2. Gently lift the meat out and rest it on top of the shell.
  3. Pat dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.

Step 2: Sear scallops

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season scallops with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear scallops 2–3 minutes per side, until golden crust forms and opaque inside. Remove and set aside.

Step 3: Cook lobster

  1. In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter.
  2. Add lobster tails, cut side down, and cook 3–4 minutes until slightly browned.
  3. Flip and cook another 2–3 minutes, basting with butter, until lobster is cooked through (internal temp ~140°F / 60°C).

Step 4: Make garlic butter sauce

  1. In a small saucepan, melt remaining butter.
  2. Add minced garlic, sauté 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, parsley, and red pepper flakes (if using).

Step 5: Serve

  • Arrange lobster and scallops on a plate.
  • Drizzle garlic butter sauce over everything.
  • Serve immediately with your choice of vegetables, potatoes, or rice.

Tips for Perfect Seafood

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan—sear in batches if needed.
  • Scallops cook fast; they’re done when they turn opaque and springy.
  • Butter basting keeps lobster juicy and flavorful.
  • A squeeze of fresh lemon at the end brightens flavors beautifully.

This meal is luxurious but doable at home, perfect for a special dinner or date night.

If you want, I can also give a full 3-course seafood meal plan to go with this, including appetizer and dessert to match your lobster and scallops.
