Here’s a full, delicious recipe for a Ground Beef Pasta dish—hearty, easy, and perfect for weeknight dinners. 🍝🥩

Ground Beef Pasta – Full Recipe

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 12 oz (340 g) pasta (penne, fusilli, or spaghetti)
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Cook Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Cook Ground Beef

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté for 3–4 minutes until soft.
  3. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  5. Cook until fully browned, then drain excess fat.

Step 3: Make the Sauce

  1. Stir in diced tomatoes and tomato paste.
  2. Add oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

Step 4: Combine Pasta and Sauce

  • Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
  • Cook for 2–3 minutes so the pasta absorbs some sauce flavor.

Step 5: Serve

  • Plate the pasta and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
  • Serve hot with a side salad or garlic bread.

Tips & Variations

  • For a cheesy version, stir in ½ cup mozzarella before serving.
  • Add vegetables like bell peppers, mushrooms, or zucchini to boost nutrition.
  • For extra flavor, deglaze the pan with a splash of red wine after cooking the beef.
  • Leftovers reheat well and can be stored in the fridge for 2–3 days.

This ground beef pasta is simple, comforting, and full of flavor—perfect for busy nights or a family dinner.

If you want, I can also make a one-pot version that cooks the pasta and meat together in the same pan to save time and dishes.

Do you want me to do that?
