Posted on December 1, 2025 by Admin

Here’s a decadent and delicious recipe for Cinnamon Roll French Toast—sweet, gooey, and perfect for breakfast or brunch.

🍞 Cinnamon Roll French Toast

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 4 large cinnamon rolls (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter, for cooking
  • Optional toppings: maple syrup, powdered sugar, cream cheese glaze, fresh fruit

Instructions

1. Prepare the Egg Mixture

  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth.

2. Slice the Cinnamon Rolls

  1. Slice each cinnamon roll horizontally in half so you have two layers per roll.
  2. If rolls are very small, you can leave them whole.

3. Dip in Egg Mixture

  1. Dip each cinnamon roll half (or whole roll) into the egg mixture, coating both sides well.
  2. Let excess drip off.

4. Cook the French Toast

  1. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Place dipped cinnamon rolls in the skillet and cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.

5. Serve

  • Serve warm with maple syrup, powdered sugar, cream cheese glaze, or fresh fruit.

Tips & Variations

  • Cream cheese glaze: Mix 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp cream cheese, and 1 tsp milk for a quick glaze.
  • Extra gooey: Use slightly underbaked cinnamon rolls for a soft, melty center.
  • Add nuts: Sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts on top for crunch.
  • Baked version: Arrange cinnamon roll halves in a greased baking dish, pour egg mixture over, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes.

This Cinnamon Roll French Toast is sweet, soft, and indulgent, combining the best of classic cinnamon rolls and French toast in one delicious breakfast.

I can also give a quick microwave version for a single serving if you want.

Do you want me to do that?
