Cheesy spaghetti

Here’s a simple and delicious Cheesy Spaghetti recipe — a creamy, cheesy pasta dish that’s quick and comforting. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or when you’re craving something cheesy and satisfying!


🧀 Cheesy Spaghetti

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 12 oz spaghetti (or your favorite pasta)

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (for garnish)

1. Cook the pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  2. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions, usually about 9–11 minutes, until al dente.

  3. Drain the pasta, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water for the sauce (optional).


2. Make the cheesy sauce

  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.

  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, until fragrant.

  3. Pour in the heavy cream, and bring to a simmer. Stir constantly until the cream begins to thicken, about 2–3 minutes.

  4. Lower the heat, then stir in the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.

  5. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning (if using). If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to loosen it up.


3. Combine and serve

  1. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the cheesy sauce and toss to coat.

  2. If needed, adjust the consistency with more pasta water, a tablespoon at a time.

  3. Serve immediately, garnished with freshly chopped parsley or basil, and extra grated Parmesan if desired.


✨ Tips for Perfect Cheesy Spaghetti

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes or sauté some onions or mushrooms with the garlic.

  • Cream cheese or ricotta cheese can also be added for an even creamier texture.

  • Make it a full meal by adding grilled chicken, sautéed spinach, or roasted vegetables to the dish.
