Posted on December 3, 2025 by Admin

Here is a restaurant-style Cajun Shrimp & Steak Alfredo Pasta — creamy, spicy, buttery, and crazy flavorful. This is the kind of dish you’d get at a steakhouse or Cajun fusion spot. 🍤🥩🍝🔥

⭐ Cajun Shrimp & Steak Alfredo Pasta

Ingredients (4 servings)

Protein

  • 8 oz sirloin, ribeye, or flank steak, sliced into strips
  • ½ lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 2–3 tbsp Cajun seasoning (divided)
  • Salt & pepper (as needed)
  • 1–2 tbsp butter + 1 tbsp olive oil

Pasta & Sauce

  • 12 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp Cajun seasoning (extra in sauce)
  • Optional: pinch of cayenne for heat
  • Optional: ½ cup pasta water (for thinning)

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley
  • Extra parmesan
  • Lemon wedge (optional, brightens it!)

🍳 Instructions

1. Cook the pasta

  • Boil fettuccine according to package directions.
  • Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.

2. Season the proteins

  • Toss steak strips with 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning, salt & pepper.
  • Toss shrimp with 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning.

3. Cook the steak

  • Heat 1 tbsp butter + 1 tbsp oil in a skillet over medium-high.
  • Sear steak strips 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking.
  • Remove to a plate.

4. Cook the shrimp

  • In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp butter.
  • Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink and lightly charred.
  • Remove and keep warm.

5. Make the Cajun Alfredo sauce

In the same skillet (don’t clean it — you want the flavor!):

  1. Add garlic and cook 20–30 seconds.
  2. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Add parmesan and whisk until melted.
  4. Season with:
    • ½–1 tsp Cajun seasoning
    • paprika
    • black pepper
    • onion powder
  5. If too thick, add a splash of pasta water until silky.

6. Combine

  • Add cooked pasta into the sauce and toss to coat.
  • Add steak and shrimp on top (or mix in).
  • Heat together for 1 minute so flavors meld.

7. Serve

Top with:

  • Fresh parsley
  • Parmesan
  • A squeeze of lemon (optional but amazing!)

🔥 Variations

Blackened version: Use more Cajun seasoning and sear proteins until darkened.
Spicy Cajun Alfredo: Add cayenne or sliced jalapeños.
Veggie upgrade: Add spinach, mushrooms, or roasted red peppers.
Creamier/lighter: Use half cream + half milk.

If you want, I can give you a one-pot version, a cheaper budget version, or a lighter calorie version!
