Here’s a simple, classic Almond Cake you can make at home 🍰
(It’s moist, lightly sweet, and great on its own or with fruit.)
Ingredients
- 1 cup (200 g) sugar
- ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp almond extract
- ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1½ cups (150 g) almond flour
- ½ cup (60 g) all-purpose flour
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup (120 ml) milk
- Sliced almonds (for topping, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8-inch (20 cm) round pan.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, then add almond and vanilla extracts.
- In a separate bowl, mix almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to the batter, alternating with milk, mixing gently.
- Pour into the pan and sprinkle sliced almonds on top if using.
- Bake 35–40 minutes, until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool slightly, then remove from pan.
Optional Ideas
- Dust with powdered sugar after cooling
- Serve with berries or whipped cream
- Add a little lemon zest for a fresh twist
