3 Baking Soda Recipes to Burn Belly Fat

Posted on December 2, 2025 by Admin

Here are 3 popular “baking soda drink” recipes people often talk about for weight loss — BUT with an important safety note first:

⚠️ Before You Try These…

Baking soda does NOT burn belly fat.
There is no scientific evidence that it melts fat or causes targeted fat loss.

Baking soda can:

  • temporarily soothe indigestion
  • help neutralize stomach acid
  • make water slightly more alkaline

But it does not increase fat-burning.

Too much baking soda can also be dangerous, causing:

  • stomach rupture
  • kidney strain
  • electrolyte imbalance
  • high sodium levels

Safe limit: No more than ½ teaspoon per day, and not for long-term use.

These recipes are fine for occasional digestion relief, but not as a fat-loss solution. Weight loss comes from calorie balance, nutrition, and activity.

✅ 3 Baking Soda Drink Recipes (Safe, Occasional Use)

1. Baking Soda + Lemon Water

Good for digestion, bloating relief, morning hydration.

Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup warm water

How to make

  1. Add lemon juice to warm water.
  2. Stir in baking soda after fizzing stops.
  3. Drink on an empty stomach no more than 2–3 times per week.

2. Baking Soda + Apple Cider Vinegar Tonic

Used to reduce bloating and improve digestion—not fat loss.

Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup water

How to make

  1. Mix ACV with water.
  2. Add baking soda slowly (it will fizz).
  3. Drink before a meal 1–2 times per week.

3. Baking Soda + Green Tea

Green tea may help increase calorie burn—baking soda only reduces acidity.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed green tea
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda

How to make

  1. Brew green tea and let it cool slightly.
  2. Add baking soda and stir.
  3. Drink once daily, but keep baking soda to ¼ tsp max.

⭐ If Your Goal Is Belly Fat Loss…

You’ll get far better results focusing on habits that actually reduce abdominal fat:

✔ Calorie deficit (portion control or reducing sugary drinks)

✔ Protein at every meal

✔ Strength training 3–4 times per week

✔ Walking 8–10k steps daily

✔ Reduced alcohol, better sleep

If you’d like, I can tailor a 7-day belly-fat meal plan, exercise plan, or a safe morning drink routine.
