Classic Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients:

  • Dough:
    • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

    • 1 tsp salt

    • ½ cup milk (warm)
    • ¼ cup butter (melted)
    • 1 egg
  • Filling:
    • ½ cup brown sugar
    • 2 tsp cinnamon
    • 2 tbsp butter (softened)
  • Glaze:
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 2–3 tbsp milk
    • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  1. Make the dough: Mix warm milk + yeast, let sit 5 min. Combine with sugar, salt, egg, butter, and flour. Knead 5–7 min. Let rise 1 hr.
  2. Roll & fill: Roll dough into rectangle, spread butter, sprinkle cinnamon + sugar.
  3. Shape: Roll tightly, cut into 8–12 rolls, place in greased pan. Let rise 30–45 min.
  4. Bake: 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 min until golden.
  5. Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over warm rolls.
