Posted on January 2, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a rich, comforting, restaurant-style recipe for Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken & Linguine in Alfredo Sauce 🍝🧄🍗 — easy enough for home, but tastes luxurious.

Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken & Linguine Alfredo

Ingredients (Serves 4)

Pasta

  • 12 oz (340 g) linguine
  • Salt (for pasta water)

Chicken

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Garlic Butter Alfredo Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional, classic Alfredo flavor)
  • ½ cup pasta cooking water (as needed)

Garnish (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Extra Parmesan cheese

Instructions

1. Cook the Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2. Cook the Chicken

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook chicken 5–6 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked.
  4. Remove from skillet and let rest, then slice into strips.

3. Make the Garlic Butter Alfredo Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium.
  2. Melt butter, then add garlic and sauté 30–45 seconds until fragrant (don’t brown).
  3. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese gradually until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add black pepper and nutmeg (if using).
  6. Thin sauce with reserved pasta water if needed.

4. Combine Everything

  • Add cooked linguine to the sauce and toss gently.
  • Add sliced chicken and coat evenly with sauce.
  • Simmer 1–2 minutes until everything is warmed through.

5. Serve

  • Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan.
  • Serve immediately while creamy and hot.

Tips for Perfect Alfredo

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan (pre-shredded won’t melt smoothly).
  • Keep heat low to medium to avoid separating the sauce.
  • Add a splash of lemon juice for brightness if desired.

Optional Variations

  • Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach
  • Swap chicken for shrimp
  • Add red pepper flakes for a gentle kick

This dish is creamy, garlicky, and deeply comforting—perfect for family dinner or a cozy night in.

If you want, I can also give you a one-pan version, a lighter Alfredo, or a baked chicken Alfredo version. Just tell me 😊
